Today’s artist bio is on the eccentric and downright insane electronic experimental band Crystal Castles. The band formed in 2004 in Toronto consisting of producer Ethan Kath and vocalist Alice Glass. The duo is known for their chaotic live shows and lo-fi melancholic homemade productions. If you have a bucket list, make sure you put “See Crystal Castles live” on it, because seeing Alice Glass throw herself around the stage and into the crowd is a once in a lifetime experience! The tracks don’t appeal to everyone but what they’re doing is legendary and simply explosive. Try and give the 3 albums a listen, guys. It’s worth it! I definietly recommend hitting up “Alice Practice”, “Crimewave”, “Sad Eyes” and “Not In Love”.
Heartbreak (feat. Chela) by Clubfeet
Clubfeet are a five piece synth-pop band from Melbourne, Australia, and Cape Town, South Africa. “Heartbreak” was released from the album Heirs & Graces. This track features smooth and very relaxed vocals and of course some awesome synth.
Terms and Conditions by Chet Faker
Nicholas James Murphy is an Australian musician and has just released “Thinking in Textures” featuring an abundance of great, feel good tracks such as “Terms and Conditions’”, “I’m Into You” and “No Diggity”. Having recently collaborated with Flume, this astounding and soulful musician is definitely hitting the big time.
Alt-J are an english indie-rock quartet, formed in 2007. Their debut album ’An Awesome Wave’ was released in May 2012 in Europe and September 2012 in the United States and won the 2012 British Mercury Prize. So much success with their debut album, it’s no wonder they’re taking over the indie music scene at the moment! “Breezeblocks”, “Tessellate” and “Something Good” progressed well in the UK charts and we can definitely expect great things from this band. Keep your ears and eyes open!
Cheap Beer by FIDLAR
The L.A. skate-punk band FIDLAR aren’t your typical band. But their new album definitely deserves a listen. Climbing their way up to success, you’ll definitely see these boys on the ever changing music scene.
Today’s artist bio is on the one and only Frank Ocean, an american singer song-writer from New Orleans. In 2010, he became a member of alternative hip hop collective OFWGKTA. His debut studio album ’Channel Orange’, was released in July 2012, promoted with three charting singles: “Thinkin Bout You”, “Pyramids”, and “Sweet Life”. Since then his fame status has grown, with his soulful, deep and incredibly astounding voice he has gained many fans and followers.
White Noise (feat. AlunaGeorge) by Disclosure
Disclosure is an electronic band from the UK. The duo consists of brothers Guy and Howard Lawrence. After great success with the track ‘Latch’ the boys are back with another awesome jam. This time featuring newbie duo AlunaGeorge. With an awesome bassline and savvy synth, this is a collaboration made in heaven!
